Save Newborn Lives

Bridgewell Association under the Department of Child Health Nursing, Faculty of Nursing has organized Continuing Nursing Education on the theme “Save Newborn Lives” on 20th November 2021.

Newborn Care Week is celebrated every year in the country from 15 to 21 November 2021. The aim for celebrating the week is to raise awareness about the importance of the newborn care for child survival and development.

The Programme was graced by Prof. Shareef Ahmed, Pro. Vice Chancellor (Research), SGT University, Dr. Pankaj Abrol, Professor & Head Paediatrics, SGT Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, & Dr. Simriti Arora, Professor, Amity College of Nursing Gurugram. The Programme was started with the inaugural ceremony followed by the lamp lighting by the dignitaries.

The Guest speakers were honoured by presenting a sapling and memento. The first session was started by Dr. Pankaj Abrol Professor & Head Paediatrics, SGT Medical College Hospital & Research Institute. on Danger signs in Newborn. In his talk he explained about assessment of early danger signs in newborn for early diagnosis and management.

Next session was taken by Dr. Simriti Arora, Professor, Amity College of Nursing Gurugram on Newborn Progress: Evidence based. She talked about the trends in paediatric Nursing and evidenced based practice in paediatric Nursing.

The Programme was Coordinated by Ms. Sarika Yadav, Associate Professor & Ms. Shweta Handa, Assistant Professor and the event was hosted by Ms. Kulpooja , Assistant Professor, Faculty of

Nursing.
